Our Church

Nestled in the heart of the City of Berkeley, only a 1/2 mile from the UC Berkeley campus, we are a non-denominational church called to be a place of refuge for those who call Berkeley their home, temporarily or permanently.

We understand that this area can be transient, but God has called us to care, transform, equip, and empower all who come through our doors. Let us partner with you on your journey in view of God's grace and emerge with purpose.

How long is the service?

In total, Emerge Sunday service is typically less than 90 minutes in length. 

 

What's the worship like on Sundays?

Services begin with the band leading our church in worship music. Song lyrics are projected onto the screen to sing along and engage with worship however you feel most comfortable.

 

What about the sermons?

One of our pastors, deacons/deaconesses, or ministry leaders will share an encouraging and spirit-filled message about Jesus. We sometimes invite guest speakers or missionaries to do the same.
